1. Overview
PDFbrix provides browser-based PDF utilities. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the website.
2. Files used with core PDF tools
The core PDF tools included in this build are designed to process selected documents locally in your web browser. Those selected documents are not intentionally transmitted to a PDFbrix document-processing server by the included tool engine.
Your browser may temporarily hold file data, generated Blobs and page previews in memory while a tool is open. Refreshing or closing the page normally clears that active processing state.
3. Website and device information
Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may process standard technical request information required to deliver pages and defend the service, such as request timestamps, IP addresses, user-agent strings and error/security logs. Retention depends on the production hosting configuration.
4. Local browser storage
PDFbrix uses localStorage for interface preferences such as color theme and a short list of recently opened tool identifiers. It does not store the contents of your PDFs in localStorage.
5. Contact form
If you submit the contact form, the server receives the name, email address, subject and message you provide so the team can respond. Anti-spam and rate-limiting data may also be processed for security. Do not send confidential documents, passwords or sensitive personal information through the contact form.
6. Third-party resources
The current build can load pinned PDF JavaScript libraries from jsDelivr and cdnjs. Your browser may make requests to those providers to download code. Those providers may receive standard network request information under their own policies. For a stricter first-party deployment, the libraries can be self-hosted.
7. Analytics, ads and cookies
This production starter does not add a third-party analytics or advertising tag by default. If analytics, advertising, consent-management or other tracking technologies are added later, this policy and any consent experience should be updated before those technologies are enabled.
8. Data retention
Local PDF tool selections are not retained by a PDFbrix processing server because the included core tools do not upload those files there. Contact messages and normal hosting/security logs may be retained only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, legal or operational purposes according to the final production setup.
9. Security
The website uses application-level safeguards such as a restrictive Content Security Policy, file validation and contact-form abuse controls. No website can guarantee absolute security, and browser processing still depends on the security of your device, browser and installed extensions.
10. Children
PDFbrix is a general-purpose productivity service and is not intentionally directed to young children. The final commercial operator should define any age requirements that apply to accounts, payments or future cloud services.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when features, providers or legal requirements change. A revised “Last updated” date should be published with material changes.
12. Contact
For privacy questions, use the contact page. A production contact email and legal entity can be supplied through the site environment configuration.
