Clear answers about your files & privacy.
No vague promises. PDFbrix explains how supported tools process your files, what happens inside your browser and where current technical limitations apply.
01 Are my PDF files uploaded to PDFbrix?
The included core tools process selected files locally in your browser. PDFbrix does not require a document-processing upload endpoint for those tools.
02 Can I use the tools without creating an account?
Yes. The included tools are designed to work without registration or sign-in, so you can open a tool and start working immediately.
03 What happens with very large files?
Browser memory is finite. The engine blocks extreme per-file and combined sizes and warns about large files to reduce the chance of a browser tab crash.
04 Does every operation preserve selectable text?
No. Most structural PDF tools copy PDF content directly, but the current Compress PDF tool rasterizes pages. Its interface warns when selectable text may become image content.
